Carolina is done for without Hamilton

If Hamilton isn't going to play during this series, that really hurts Carolina. Their biggest advantage over the Rangers was their defensive players. Without Hamilton, I like our chances to advance. Less than one week for real hockey to begin!

Wow. Can't say as I didn't expect this sort of thing, but that is more in less time than I would have wagered. Too bad, I was surprised to realize how excited I was in the last couple hours leading up to the Jays first game on Friday night. Been a long time without sports!!

I'm pretty sure cancelling baseball would be a positive. Thank you FL.

Maybe you're on to something. Now, having watched Toronto snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again, maybe I can wait a little longer!!!

How's it going up in Canada? Has tourism slowed?

I'm really not sure overall.
Things are getting heated here in Niagara.
We are seeing HUGE crowds in the tourist areas over the last few weeks, with no social distancing and few masks being worn. VERY contentious topic in the city right now. Masks have been made mandatory indoors by the regional gov't. But, I don't know what difference that will make when it's so hard to enforce because you're talking about a city of 85,000 ballooning to 250,000 when the weather gets nice.

That's rough. I hope you stay safe and things settle down soon.

We'd definitely like to visit again. Had a great time.

It doesn't effect me or my family directly. But, there isn't a single person in this city that doesn't somehow interact with a person who works in the tourism industry. So, in that regard it is a major issue for the whole area.

Tanner's comment section just went off the rails and got shut down.
Hope that's the end of that idiot here. There hasn't been an actual hockey discussion in there for months. He just goes off about Trump and calls everyone a racist.
So ridiculous.

Canes were 11-7-3 after Hamilton went down.

Then 3-3-1 with Hamilton, Pesce and both goalies out.

Of course they didn't have Vatanen to replace either of those guys at that point, so that should help significantly.

They went into a bit of a slide right after the trade deadline but were finding chemistry and were back on the upswing with three W in a row just as the season was cancelled.
